Pier 39
The pier is located at the edge of the Fisherman's Wharf district and is close to North Beach, Chinatown, and the Embarcadero. At Pier 39, there are shops, restaurants, street performances, an interpretive center for the Marine Mammal Center, the Aquarium of the Bay, and views of hundreds of California sea lions hauled out on docks on Pier 39's marina. The marina is also home to the floating Forbes Island restaurant.

Completed in 1937, the Golden Gate Bridge is the symbol of San Francisco. The bridge is 8,981 feet long and connects San Francisco with Marin County and nearby Sausalito. The channel below the bridge is 400 feet deep and is the mouth of San Francisco Bay into the Pacific Ocean.
