HOW DIFFICULT IS RIDING A BICYCLE IN THE SAN FRANCISCO AREA?
Options are available that will make your ride fun for beginners or advanced riders. We have had bikers as young as 5 and as old as 88 - and they say it was the best thing they did in San Francisco.

IS THE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE RIDE FLAT?
Yes, the Golden Gate Bridge trip is mostly flat except for two small hills that are easy to ride. The middle of the bridge is 220 feet above sea level, then you coast downhill into Sausalito.

ARE THE BIKE PATHS HARD TO FOLLOW?
Not at all. The new bike path is easy to follow using our custom bike map which includes several points of interest and exciting side trips.

IS THIS A GUIDED TOUR?
While we offer a daily guided tour, this is a bicycle rental and information for a SELF-GUIDED tour. For our self-guided tours, our knowledgeable staff will give you a detailed orientation of our easy-to-follow custom bike map prior to your trip.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR OR BRING FOR MY BIKE RIDE?
Weather can vary from place to place in the area. To be comfortable throughout your ride we recommend you dress layered. Windbreakers are great! Small personal items such as camera, wallet and water can be stored easily in the handlebar bag provided. Backpacks are ideal and these are easily secured to the rear of the bike by one of our staff.

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE AND RETURN MY RENTAL BIKE?
We ask when you place your order to choose an approximate time you will pick up your bike - hourly between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm. However, you may arrive to pick up your bike at any time on your rental date. We will have a great bike available whenever you are ready for your ride. You may return your bike any time you choose during the 24 hours following pickup by taking advantage of our late return area which has 24 hour accessibility. Ask our friendly staff for details when picking up your bike.

IS A FERRY TICKET FROM SAUSALITO/TIBURON INCLUDED?
No, the ferry is an additional $8.50 per person from either Sausalito or Tiburon, but there's no additional charge for bringing a bike aboard the ferry. Our staff can provide you with a ferry schedule and tickets before you leave our office.

DO I NEED INSURANCE?
Optional Accidental Damage Insurance is available for $3.00 per day, payable at the time of pickup.

Ordering Information

When ordering optional items - Bicycle Trailer, Bicycle Tag-A-Long, Bicycle Baby Seat, Additional Day(s) - please enter the number of ITEMS multiplied by the number of DAYS you wish to order. For example, if your order is for 2 bicycles and you want them both for three days, the "Additional Days" needs to be ordered as "4" since there are 2 bicycles multiplied by 2 additional days. Similarly, if you plan a 2-day rental and have two small children who you wish to ride in two separate bicycle trailers...one on the back of each of two adult bikes...you would enter "2" for the number of Additional Days since there are two bicycles by 1 additional day each...and you would order "4" for the Bicycle Trailers since there are two trailers multiplied by 2 days.

BIKE THE BRIDGE TO SAUSALITO OR TIBURON AND RETURN VIA FERRY
This easy ride is fun for beginners to advanced. Follow the bike path from our shops, over the Golden Gate Bridge, downhill to beautiful Sausalito and return via ferry or venture on to Tiburon, a charming seaside town, and reward yourself with fabulous dining and views before returning on the ferry. 1-1.5 Hours, 8 mi/13 km to Sausalito, 16 mi/23 km to Tiburon.

BIKE THE PRESIDIO & GOLDEN GATE PARK
Explore San Francisco: Fisherman's Wharf, the Marina, Park Presidio, the Palace of Fine Arts, the Cliff House, Ocean Beach and Golden Gate Park. Enjoy the extraordinary views, museums, and activities offered along this incredible ride. 2-4 Hours, 20 mi/32 km.

BIKE THE MARIN HEADLANDS
Beautiful Marin County is a bikers paradise, whether you prefer rugged mountain biking or peaceful back roads, Marin has it all! The Marin Headlands loop offers serene, peaceful road riding and spectacular views. 20 mi/32 km.

BIKE THE TENNESSEE VALLEY TO THE BEACH
The Tennessee Valley tour is a local favorite, winding through the Bothin Marsh, down the valley, to the black sands of Tennessee Beach. 28 mi/45 km.

BIKE TO MILL VALLEY
The Old Mill Park tour offers a chance to see the World's Tallest Trees. It's easy riding to Old Mill Park in Mill Valley for a serious tree hugging experience. 14 mi/22 km one-way.

BIKE MOUNT TAMALPAIS
The Mount Tamalpais tour will satisfy the hungriest of mountain bikers, ride to the 2600' summit for an unbelievable panorama. 19 mi/30 km one-way.
